Coriole Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Coriole Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
A classic Australian Cabernet Sauvignon from McLaren Vale — structured, with dark fruit and fine tannins that combine depth and drinkability.
Coriole was founded in 1967 by Hugh and Molly Lloyd and is located in the Seaview vineyard of McLaren Vale. The soils consist of 80 percent iron-rich terra rossa over limestone—this characteristic red earth ensures good drainage and significantly influences the style of the wines. The Mediterranean climate, with warm days, cool nights, and dry summers, favors the slow, even ripening of the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Today, Mark and Paul Lloyd run the estate in its second generation and, according to various critics, it is among the top 100 wineries in the world.
In the glass, the wine displays blackcurrant and cassis, along with blackberry and a hint of anise. A subtle leather note adds depth to the profile. The body is medium-bodied, the tannins finely structured without harshness, and the finish is long and precise.
Best served at 16–18 °C . Pairs well with grilled lamb rump, roast beef with rosemary, or a mature cheddar. It also makes a great accompaniment to a casual dinner with friends.
