AH Riise XO Ambre d'Or 42%

A versatile blended rum from AH Riise – a brand with roots on the Danish-Caribbean island of St. Croix, known for its carefully composed rum blends since the 19th century.

Ambre d'Or combines rum spirits from the West Indies and Central America according to an old family recipe. Aging in oak barrels that previously held sweet wines leaves its mark: the nose reveals aromas of caramel, dried fruit, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is soft and full-bodied, with a subtle sweetness and spicy oak notes in the background. The finish is long and warm, with a light dried fruit note.

At 42% ABV, Ambre d'Or has enough substance to enjoy neat – best at room temperature or with a single ice cube. It's equally good as a base for classic rum cocktails like an Old Fashioned or a Daiquiri with a bit more depth.
