Pouilly-Fuissé Cuvée Hors-Classe Les Ménétrières 1er Cru Ferret BIO
Pouilly-Fuissé at Premier Cru level: The Les Ménétrières vineyard is one of the best plots in the appellation – and Ferret gets everything out of it that the Mâconnais Chardonnay can deliver.
Domaine Ferret in Fuissé has been one of Burgundy's leading wineries for decades. Biodynamic farming (certified organic) and consistently low yields form the basis for this Hors Classe cuvée – a selection of the best grapes from a single vineyard, aged in oak barrels for extended periods.
In the glass, the wine displays aromas of quince jelly, toasted brioche, and beeswax , underpinned by a mineral core. On the palate, it is dense and full-bodied, the acidity is integrated yet present enough for long aging potential. The finish is long, slightly salty, with a hint of roasted hazelnut.
