Kyrö Distillery wasn't born in a boardroom, but in a sauna: A group of friends from Isokyrö , a small town in the Ostrobothnia region of Finland, decided over a glass of rye whisky that their country deserved its own distillery. In 2012, this idea became a reality – and that sauna evening turned into one of Northern Europe's most remarkable distilleries.

The foundation is Finnish rye. It grows in the barren, sun-drenched landscape of Ostrobothnia and gives all Kyrö products their distinctive character: spicy, dry, with a slight grainy sharpness reminiscent of forests and frost. Napue Gin – named after a historical battle in the region – embodies this very origin, alongside Finnish herbs such as birch leaves and cranberries. Shortly after its launch, it was awarded the title of best contemporary gin in the world.
