Glina Distillery –
Whisky and spirits from the Havelland region

On the former Schultz's estate near Werder an der Havel, something unexpected has developed from a long tradition of fruit wine production: one of Germany's most remarkable whisky distilleries. The master distiller of the Glina distillery discovered his passion for distilling and systematically transformed the estate into a spirits manufactory – without abandoning its regional roots.

What sets Glina apart from many other German distilleries is that the grain and fruit come from their own fields surrounding the estate, and the water from their own spring. These short distances from raw material to cask noticeably shape the character of their bottlings – earthier, more direct, with a clear connection to the Brandenburg landscape.

In addition to whisky, liqueurs and other spirits are also produced in Werder, all sharing the same artisanal standards. Those seeking German whisky beyond the major distilleries will find an honest, distinctive style at Glina.
