There, Christian and Matthias Runkel vinify only the wines they themselves enjoy most and that truly reflect their origin. Our focus is on the traditional grape varieties Riesling, Silvaner, and the Pinot varieties. Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay have also played an important role for several years, as we believe they can reach their full potential on our limestone soils. In all our decisions, we strive to produce individual wines that represent their region and our understanding of quality. With a nature-conscious approach, meticulous handwork in the vineyard, and a consistent avoidance of modern oenological techniques, we realize this ambition and bottle it.
