Bodega Lurton

The Argentinian winery Bodega Lurton was founded in 1992 by brothers Jacques and François Lurton. Originally from France, they fulfilled their dream by establishing their own winery. The winery buildings and vineyards are located in the Mendoza region, at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level at the foot of the Andes Mountains. This region has a relatively cool continental climate, largely due to the high altitude. Furthermore, up to 300 days of sunshine per year provide optimal conditions for viticulture. Bodega Lurton owns a total of 225 hectares of vineyards. Including the additional vineyards acquired in Chile, Spain, and France, the total vineyard area reaches up to 350 hectares. The soils of the Argentinian vineyards consist mainly of sandstone and granite. The winery cultivates grape varieties such as Malbec, Bonarda, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
