The base is a molasses rum from the Virgin Islands, aged for 24 months in oak barrels, to which 14 spices are then added.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e On the nose, caramel, dark chocolate, and vanilla – with distinct notes of cinnamon, ginger, and cloves underneath. Medium-bodied on the palate, with a rounded sweetness and a mildly spicy finish without any harsh edges. The black color comes from the added sugar cane syrup.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e The spiciness is best enjoyed neat over ice. A classic \u003ci\u003eKraken \u0026amp; Cola\u003c\/i\u003e with a slice of lime, or as the base for a Dark Stormy with ginger beer.
