This bottle shows why the variety has loyal followers despite its niche status.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e Prince zur Lippe rebuilt Proschwitz Castle from scratch starting in 1991 – after decades of decay during the GDR era. Today, the winery cultivates around 55 hectares on the Elbe River, primarily on weathered granite and sandstone soils. The Goldriesling, a cross between Riesling and Courtillier Musqué, benefits here from the continental microclimate with warm summers and cool nights.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e In the glass, the wine displays a clear, yellow-green color. The nose offers aromas of green apple, vineyard peach, and a hint of lime – fresh and direct, without heaviness. On the palate, it has firm acidity with a slight creaminess, medium body, and a clean, dry finish with a subtle hint of spice.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e Serving temperature: 8–10 °C. Pairs well with trout poached in court bouillon, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or light pasta dishes with herbs.
