For generations, the winery in Gradisca d'Isonzo has cultivated the hilly slopes of the Collio region, right on the Slovenian border. Here, on mineral-rich flysch soils of sandstone and marl, Pinot Grigio grows slowly and develops more substance than in flatter regions. It's no coincidence that the Friulians simply call the grape variety Gris —and gave the wine its name from it.

In the glass, the Mongris displays a rich golden yellow with warm copper hues. The nose offers aromas of acacia blossom, broom, and ripe apple, with a subtle hint of beeswax. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a soft acidity and no hint of sharpness. The finish is long and slightly spicy.

Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with vitello tonnato , grilled sea bream, or seafood risotto. Best enjoyed by 2027.
