The calcareous clay soil gives the Chardonnay a depth and vibrancy rarely found in warmer parts of Spain. Familia Torres, for decades one of the leading names in the Iberian wine scene, vinifies this wine using barrel aging – hence the characteristic combination of fruit and oak spice.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e In the glass, ripe citrus fruit, melon, and a hint of white peach are revealed, underpinned by vanilla, butter, and a subtle smokiness. With a little aeration, truffle notes emerge.
