The grapes for Penfolds Koonunga Hill Chardonnay are grown in various wine-growing regions of South Australia, with the majority originating from the Barossa Valley and the Adelaide Hills. This results in the typical, full-bodied Koonunga Hill wine style with pronounced primary fruit character and persistent intensity, underpinned by a subtle, underlying oak note. Penfolds Koonunga Hill Chardonnay was the first white wine in the series, launched in 1993.
