The vines for this wine were first planted in 1947 on oak leaf soils. The hand-harvested grapes are spontaneously fermented in amphorae and wooden barrels, using methods that have been employed for centuries. The wine then matures in 500-liter oak barrels for approximately 10 months before bottling. This wine is incredibly stable and can be aged for up to 25 years. The low yields from very old bush vines contribute to a high degree of complexity and a harmonious balance of minerality and acidity.
