The 20 hectares of Riesling vines stretch from Wicker to Lorch, their roots embedded in the calcareous soil of the former Mainz Basin Sea. This calcareous soil is no accident: it imparts to the wines the characteristic minerality and longevity that distinguishes Rheingau Riesling from other German white wines.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e In the glass, this Riesling displays aromas of pear, apricot, and white peach, complemented by spicy, stony notes. The palate is tautly structured, the acidity precise – typical of limestone soils.
