It shows what a grappa tastes like when craftsmanship takes precedence over effect.

Nonino Distillatori is one of Italy's most famous grappa distillers and works according to family tradition. For this Friulana, fresh pomace from white and red grapes from Friuli goes into the still. The freshness of the raw material is crucial, as pomace must be processed quickly after pressing. Distillation is carried out discontinuously with steam in copper stills. On the palate, it feels straightforward and elegant, and the finish remains persistent. Drink it neat at 16 to 18 °C from a slender tulip glass, classically after a meal as a digestif or with an espresso. It is also suitable as a base for long drinks and cocktails if you are looking for a clear pomace brandy with character.
