The winery belongs to the Rothschild family (Lafite) and is run as an independent domaine with a clear focus on the local terroir – dry soils, intense sun, garrigue vegetation.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e In the glass, the Altan displays aromas of blackberry and black cherry, underpinned by thyme, sage, and a hint of juniper – typical garrigue notes of the region. Six months of aging in small oak barrels give the wine structure: firm, yet well-integrated tannins, and a spicy, lingering finish.
