It is a blend of wines from four high-altitude vineyards between 950 and 1,450 meters above sea level at the foot of the Andes: El Cepillo, Agrelo, Villa Bastías, and the cooler Gualtallary – each vineyard contributes its own aromatic dimension, which only unfolds its full potential in the blend.

After cold sedimentation, the must ferments for 15–25 days at a maximum temperature of 17 °C, then matures for 10–12 months on the fine lees in French barriques – with bâtonnage, bottled unclarified and unfiltered. Only a portion undergoes malolactic fermentation, which maintains a balance of freshness and creaminess.

In the glass, a pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. The nose opens with citrus, peach, green apple, and delicate mineral notes, underpinned by a hint of brioche and spices. On the palate, elegant and balanced, with lively acidity, a creamy texture, and a long, fresh finish.

Served at 8–10 °C with 13.0–13.5% ABV, aging potential until 2034. A natural accompaniment to poultry, scallops, creamy pasta and aged cheese – precise, mineral and unmistakably Andean.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0896/3509/4864/files/vinoscout_catena_zapata_catena_chardonnay_20240503135804.webp?v=1773492595
