The cooler slopes produce wines with more vibrancy and depth than many of the more popular wine-growing regions.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e In the glass, the Johanniskreuz Riesling displays candied citrus fruit and ripe stone fruit, underpinned by a hint of chocolate and caramel, suggesting moderate ripeness. On the palate, however, there is a contrast: lively acidity, firm body, and a salty minerality that keeps the wine taut and allows the finish to be long and fresh.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Drinking window: now until 2028.
