After pressing, the must was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and aged on the fine lees for over three months. Part of the wine (20%) completed this lees aging in a double-sized (large) wooden cask. The remainder matured in stainless steel tanks. A beautiful, elegant Chardonnay with a delicate, smooth texture, good structure, and a subtly fruity bouquet. A touch of exotic notes (banana, citrus) is well integrated into a robust body. At Bassermann-Jordan, the Burgundy grape varieties are deliberately offered without vineyard designations. With these wines, including our Pinot Blanc, the varietal character takes center stage.
