The wine matures for 24 months in used barriques on the fine lees, which are stirred weekly, followed by another 12 months in the bottle.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn the glass, it shows deep ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose, black berries meet spices, tobacco, and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and balanced, the tannins are well-integrated, and the finish is long and elegant. Serve it at \u003cstrong\u003e16 to 18 °C\u003c\/strong\u003e, preferably decanted beforehand. It goes with braised beef, rack of lamb with rosemary, or aged Pecorino.
