This is Puglia in its direct, unvarnished form.

Behind this wine is Cantina Torrevento from the province of Terra di Bari, not far from the Alta Murgia National Park. Under Francesco Liantonio, the winery has been committed for years to preserving old, indigenous grape varieties of Apulia—including Primitivo, which finds its most famous expression here in the Manduria DOC. The as, if! is an original creation, developed in close collaboration with the winery. On the palate, it is opulent and full-bodied, with dense, ripe tannins and a long finish reminiscent of dark chocolate. Typical of Primitivo di Manduria: plenty of fruit, plenty of warmth, and few rough edges.

Pairs well with braised lamb, venison ragù, or aged Pecorino cheese. Serving temperature 17–18 °C , drink now or store until 2027.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0896/3509/4864/files/torrevento-as-if-primitivo-di-manduria-doc.webp?v=1780158507
